Best Practices During COVID19: Clean Your Kitchen Surfaces

The past few days, weeks, and even months, have been chaotic for us all. No matter where you live or what you do, the Coronavirus has affected all of our lives in various ways.

At ALVIC USA, we care greatly about the health and well-being of our customers and employees and are actively monitoring updates and announcements from the CDC and public officials.

While we have decided to suspend all travel for our sales representatives in order practice social distancing, we also want to take the extra step and inform you of ways to ensure your personal safety within your home!

We understand that there are germs everywhere – it’s inevitable! But, what about the germs in our own home? During this time, we need to increase the frequency of cleaning our hard surfaces, especially in our kitchen, to ensure that we don’t transer bacteria from person to person! The kitchen is the heart of the home, so during these times, it’s imperative to maintain its cleanliness!

Well, what exactly is the best way to ensure that you have properly sanitized your kitchen and rid away of the bad germs and bacteria in your home? Here’s our tip: soap and warm water!

That’s right! Soap and water is the best (and most easily accessible) cleaning supply that you can use for most home products! We recommend following these simple steps:

          1. Add a small portion of soap into a spray bottle

          2. Add warm water in the bottle to create a mixture

          3. Spray this on all hard surfaces including your countertops, cabinets, handles, doors, light switches, and more!

          4. Come back with a microfiber towel to dry the damp surface

Soap and water is the safest way to clean your countertops and cabinets in your kitchen and bathroom. Often times when people attempt to create DIY cleaning chemicals or buy a cheap version at the grocery store, the harsh chemicals end up eating away at the paint and the material, which result in damaging your beloved home’s design.

If you own specialized cleaner that is product-specific (such as granite countertops, or our faux-wood panels) we recommend you use this! These supplies are safe to use and will definitely get the job done!
